This artwork shows a child in a bobble hat with a sled, apparently enjoying a snow shower and trying to catch the flakes on his tongue, not realising that the 'snow' is actually ash billowing from a burning wooden crate.

 

In July 2018, black dust from the furnaces covered houses, cars and pets in Port Talbot, and was listed as the most polluted area in the UK, according to World Health Organisation (WHO). The unsafe levels of air pollution, are nearly double the WHO recommended limit.
